Hello, I am Emily, an artist and teacher, welcome to my website, the purpose is
to share and inspire curiosity about printmaking.
The Curious Printmaker blog is the focus of this site and is intended for anyone who wants to experiment with printmaking as a way of developing creatively.
Here you will find an expanding resource of printmaking activities; I hope it will inspire you to extend your own exploration of the world through print, and also keep you going when you feel stuck or uncertain about your creative work.
New posts every month will keep you supplied with printmaking techniques to try, inspiration to kindle your creativity, and ways to help you focus on the stuff you really want to do.
I run short Printmaking Courses in my studio near York. All the courses aim to free up your thinking and technique, encouraging an inquisitive experimental approach that can feed back into your own creative work, whatever that may be.
The Original Prints page shows a gallery of my prints, illustrating a range of themes and techniques.
If you have arrived here from my old website you will still find all the information about short printmaking courses in my studio, and a gallery of prints, as well as The Curious Printmaker blog. This new site will soon replace the old one, thanks to Paul at four degrees west for guiding me through the process.
